The worst thing that can happened to any traveler arriving at the final airport/destination after many hours of flying is to wait for your luggage to be delivered.
After some 36 hours of flying from JFK to Narita, Narita to Singapore, Singapore to Malaysia and hoping to collect your luggage within a reasonable time, only to be told that the visual monitors that are supposed to let you know which belt will have your luggage is always wrong, and the monitor at the belt itself is hopeless wrong, and to read on the monitor at the belt that the last bag has been delivered when you know for a fact that not a single bag has come out, really sucks.
To think that the waiting time to get the luggage upon arrival at KLIA took longer than the time taken for the actual flight from Singapore and passing through immigration is something that simply cannot be tolerated or excused.
When asked why and what is wrong, the people in charge simply said 'if you wish to make a complaint, let me bring you to the counter to make the complaint'. They also said ' lack of manpower' and the gist of it all ' the monitors are always wrong. Listen for announcement over the PA systems.
And to think that KLIA is supposed to be the primary gateway to the country, and visitors are received in such a manner, it s a no brainer that investors will run off to some other countries. We tout ourselves as being efficient, and having first class facilities. Bull crap..
After getting the luggage, one has to get coupons/tickets for taxi. There were three persons at the booth, but only 1 was serving customers. I am 100% sure that if it was simply a metered taxi, the fares would be lower than what i paid to get home from KLIA.
What a rip off!!
