He knows nothing....

Pak Lah was seated next to a little girl on an airplane that was leaving KLIA. He turned to her and said, "Let's talk. I've heard that flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger."

The little girl, who had just opened her book, closed it slowly and said to Pak Lah, "What would you like to talk about?"

"Oh, I don't know", said Pak Lah, "How about who is going to win the next election?"

"OK", she said. "That could be an interesting topic. But let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat grass, the same stuff. Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, and a horse produces clumps of dried grass. Why do you suppose that is?"

Pak Lah thinks about it and says, "Hmmm, I have no idea."

The little girl then asks, "Do you really feel qualified to discuss who is going to win the next election when you don't know shit?"

Logically...

A 72-year-old Indian politician who lost in the recent 2008 election went to his doctor for his quarterly check-up... The doctor asked him how he was feeling, and the 72-year-old said, "Things are great and I've never felt better. I now have a 20 year-old bride who is pregnant with my child. So what do you think about that Doc?"

The doctor considered his question for a minute and then began to tell a story.

"I have an older friend, much like you, who is an avid hunter and never misses a season. One day he was setting off to go hunting. In a bit of a hurry, he accidentally picked up his walking cane instead of his gun. As he neared a lake, he came across a very large wild boar sitting at the water's edge. He realized he'd left his gun at home and so he couldn't shoot the magnificent creature. Out of habit he raised his cane, aimed it at the animal as if it were his favorite hunting rifle and went 'bang, bang'. Miraculously, two shots rang out and the wild boar fell over dead. Now, what do you think of that?" asked the doctor.

The 72-year-old Indian politician said, "Logic would strongly suggest that somebody else pumped a couple of rounds into that wild boar."

The doctor replied, "My point exactly."

Happy Easter

Easter this year came quite early, 23rd March 2008. And apparently, the next time when Easter will come this early will be in the year 2160! By that time, I dont think anyone reading this will be around...

Our church did a cantata (musical message) last night, and the performance will be repeated this coming Sunday, the 30th March. This year's cantata is quite a good mix, and by mix, i meant the songs are from different sources. So, there are slow songs, fast songs, loud songs and soft songs with some others in between.

And, the free offering taken will not be channeled to the church coffers but rather for a social community work. Trinity Methodist PJ has a dialysis center catering for some 60+ patients who are not able to afford their weekly kidney dialysis treatment. And, whatever offering collected will be used to support this center. The patients who come for treatment can be from any race, sex, or religion. The only criteria is they cannot afford to do the treatment anywhere else.

I have been involved in the church cantatas for almost 20 years now, and i still do not read music... hahahaha

How did BN get my hp number???... SMS from Sheah Kok Fah

The 12th General Election for Malaysia is on this weekend, the 8th March 2008. And judging from the keen interest and rather exciting views promulgated from friends, colleagues and contacts, it will be a very charged election.

The big question is not whether the current parties will still hang on to power to form the next government, but rather whether the ex ruling coalition will be denied the 2/3 majority in parliament.

I received a SMS last night from the BN candidate for DUN Kg. Tunku reminding me that I am a registered voter there and please come to vote on the 8th March.

I am 110% sure the Election Commission does not have my mobile number. I am 200% sue I have never given my number to any political parties.

So, question then is how the heck they have my number/ I can understand if they have my postal address since the EC is supposed to have that, but my hand phone number?

Should I find out? Isnt this a violation of my privacy??

When I registered as a voter, I didnt even own a hand phone.

I can only conclude that MAXIS, my telco, MUST have given BN my number.

Isnt this a gross violation of my privacy? What is there to stop them from giving my number to other equally sinister groups??

Should I make a police report??

should I get explanation from the BN candidate?

Update : 330pm

I called Mr. Sheah's operation number at 03 78755368 to inquire on this matter only to be told to call Derek at 012 409 0021, since Derek was the resident tech expert. Problem is Derek doesnt answer calls and neither does Derek returns calls.

Guess which party will not get my vote??

- 7 degree C

The day we flew off from Minneapolis, 27th Feb 2008, it would seem that the temperature was hovering at minus 7 degree C! This was definitely the coldest temperature I have ever experienced.

The night before, Polaris folks took us to a ski resort for a drink. The resort was, probably, by US standards, a rather small one. There were four slopes of different level of difficulty. The slopes were lit with flood lights for night skiing as well. There were some skiers going up the slopes by either ski lifts or by hanging on to a rope strung across a pulley system.

I took a few shots...

It was so cold my camera shutter opened partially.. quite a shot

View to the right with a lone figure skiing down

The evening setting sun..

Frost on the car rear side glass

Fresh snow on the ground the morning we left Minneapolis

Taking off 29th Feb and arriving 2nd March

Today is a leap day.

Tonight we will board flight MH95 for the flight back from LA to KL. When we finally arrive back to KL, it will be the 2nd March!!

This has got to be one of the longest flight ever!!
