Derek Prince Ministries

A friend (relative actually) send a short writing by this person called Derek Prince, and what he said struck my interest. Wikipedia has this to say about him..:

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jump to: navigation, search

Peter Derek Vaughan Prince (1915-2003) was an internationally recognised Bible teacher whose daily radio programme Today with Derek Prince (also called Keys to Successful Living) broadcasts to half the population of the world in various languages. These languages include English, Arabic, Spanish, Croatian, Russian, Malagasy, Tongan, Samoan and four dialects of Chinese. He was probably most noted for his teachings about demons and Christian Zionism. He was best known in Pentecostal circles although his teaching is distinctly non-denominational, a fact that has long been emphasised by his worldwide ministry. Derek Prince Ministries famously operated under the slogan Reaching the unreached and teaching the untaught

Update 2 : Touch & Go

I stand corrected; I received a reply with explanations.

I paste the reply below:
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Greetings to you.

Thank you for highlighting your concern. We wish to inform that there are various categories of reload agents, as follows:

a) RSSB - Touch 'n Go Hub & Drive-Thru Kiosk
b) Service Providers - Point-of-Sales outlets and Tambah Nilai lanes
c) Banks - ATM & CDM
d) Agents - Retail outlets & Petronas, Shell Stations etc

Categories (a) & (b) provide the reload services at no additional service fee. For the highway concessionaires, which falls under category (b), the reload service is an extension of their services to further enhance its operational efficiency.

Categories (c) & (d) fall under our independent agents category, which means the Touch 'n Go card reload facility is an additional service offered by them. For example, for participating Shell stations, the 50 sen service fee is to cover their operating costs. Likewise, ATMs and CDMs at partipating banks charge an additional 50 sen and RM1 accordingly to cover their operating costs.

We wish to inform you that reload denominations at selected Shell stations consists of reload denominations of RM10, RM20, RM50 and RM100. Higher reload denominations of RM150 - RM500 is not made available due to security reason. Therefore, two (2) reloads of RM100 were transacted and the service fee of RM0.50 is charged for each reload transaction. However, we had communicated this to the agents to ensure they inform customers before performing reload, so customers have option to reload card at other reload locations.

We wish to also highlight that the appointment of these independent agents is to further expand our reload networks nationwide, for the convenience of our customers. However, the customers have the option of reloading their Touch 'n Go cards at outlets which do not charge additional service fees.

We hope the above explains your concern, and we take this opportunity to thank your for your support.

Kind regards,
AZLINA YAKUB

If i understand it correctly, the people at Shell (USJ2) should have informed me that they can only reload maximum of RM100 each time and whether I would want to continue and be charged twice ( times) at RM0.50 each time.

I have replied to Cik Azlina and suggested that their agents clearly display the maximum amount they will reload for each transaction.

Anyway, thank you Cik Azlina for replying.

Touch&Go Top Up

I think I have been cheated by the Touch & Go Top up agent at the Shell petrol station at USJ2.

The normal cost for third party top up is RM0.50 for any amount. The Shell people charged me RM0.50 twice for a top up amount of RM200. that is RM0.50 for each transaction of RM100.

I have written to the company T&G to ask if this is the new policy. So far, no reply. And frankly, i dont think they will reply. Being a monopolistic company, there is absolutely no reason for them to strive to improve their services. No need....

The receipts for my top ups...

Since I have to use the toll highway every single day, I really have no other option at all.

One Fathom Bank

One Fathom Bank (OFB) is actually a point off Port Klang along the Straits of Malacca where two light houses are situated. Only one of the light house is still being used, with the older unit is decommissioned now.

OFB is known as a rather good fishing ground since it is a large man made structure, and it would seem with ship wrecks nearby as well, thus providing shelter for small fishes, which in turn, theoretically anyway, will attract the bigger/larger fishes.

Last Sunday, the gang went there to see if there will be any huge bounty to be caught. The boat we used is a functional trawler, therefore rather slow moving, and we actually spend more than 1 hour trawling with a trawling net.

Some photos...

The trawling net being pulled on board

Fishes being disgorged from the net

The jelly fish was cut opened showing the amount of small fishes it has consumed.

A rather interesting 'salt water' arowana?

OFB from the boat. The old lighthouse is at the back.

The gang at the new lighthouse.

It was a pleasant enough trip although the fishing was lousy. The current was simply too swift moving.. As usual, it was not the right day for fishing!!

Flowers

The wife and kids bought a few new flower plants a few days ago. And there were a few flowers in full bloom.

Decided to test the macro function of the Ricoh digital camera.

A few of the pictures taken...

Yellow orangy rose ...

same rose but slightly different angle

same rose from yet another angle

quite nice.
