Hannover 2008

The company decided to take part in the Hanover Fair so that exposure will be given to the company internationally. The fair for 2008 was from 21st to the 25th April and of course, in the city of Hanover, Germany.

The flight to Frankfurt was uneventful enough, and the 4 hours bus ride to Hanover was quite pleasant as well.

The hotel we stayed in was the Hotel Lindenkrug in the town of Linden, about 20 minutes from Hanover main station. From the main station it is another 15 minutes train ride to the fair ground. The room at the hotel was smallish, and comfortable enough. The fact that we did not have to walk more than 15 meters from the front door of the hotel to the tram station is another plus, although the passing of trams in the middle of the night or early morning can be disturbing.

Overall, it was a good exhibition, there were contacts made, with a few promising to send request for quotation.

Nuns in town....

Sisters Mary Catherine, Maria Theresa, Katherine Marie, Rose Frances, & Mary Kathleen left the Convent on a trip to St. Patrick's Cathedral in the big city and were sight -seeing on a Tuesday in July. It was hot and humid in town and their traditional garb was making them so uncomfortable, they decided to stop in at Paddy McGuire's Pub for a cold soft drink.

Paddy had recently added special legs to his barstools, which were the talk of the fashion world. All 5 Nuns sat up at the bar and were enjoying their Cokes when Monsignor Riley and Father McGinty entered the bar through the front door .

They, too, came for a cold drink when they were shocked and almost fainted at what they saw.
