Flood Relief

The devastating flood in the southern part of the Peninsular affected some 100,000+ people who were displaced from the security and sanctuary of their homes to some overcrowded relief centers. Pictures shown in the news were so heart wrenching... I just have to do something...

Decided to do something concrete about the situation , to help where i can.

Managed to galvanize my staff and friends to contribute a total of some RM2000+ which were promptly converted to items such as noodles, rice, bottled water, toiletries, canned food, diapers and others.

The initial plan was to pack these items into a Ford Ranger and a Nissan Frontier; but the amount was more than expected and could not fit into the vehicles. So, will be using the company 2 ton truck to bring the items down together with maybe just the Nissan instead.

My colleagues at work was waiting for opportunities to do something.. and i think there are a lot of very happy people...

will try to take pictures of the flooded area, if we see any along the way... oh, by the way, the items will be trucked to the Red Crescent branch in Johor Bahru....
