TV...T-Bone steak...others

Am at a hotel somewhere in Bloomington, Minneapolis. Will have to check out before 12 noon, but the flight to Seattle before onward flights is at about 9pm...

Many hours to kill..

Guess it will some hours at MOA..

Had watched lots of TV.. saw Man vs Wild.. cartoons.. lots of debate on the Health Care Bill.. Oprah... Kung Fu Panda...

Had a T-bone steak last night at Denny's, the restaurant adjacent to the hotel..

Ah well...

Trip to USA

At the Cedar Rapids airport now for next leg of the trip. Will be flying to Portland Oregon via Denver Colorado.

Seems to me, the time at airports is a lot longer than actual flying time!!

Updated from Cedar Rapids; local time 11.20am, Sunday 14th Mar (or 0020 hours 15th Mar Malaysia's time).

The flight from KLIA took off at 3.30pm Saturday afternoon, and i checked in to the hotel at 1045am Sunday, or 1145pm Sunday night KL time.

In total I have traveled 32 hours to reach to the first hotel.

I think I am a bit tired...

A rather hurriedly arranged trip to the USA is most likely on next week. If there is no hitch to the flight tickets, will be off tomorrow and back next Saturday.

A rather fast 3 cities trip...

First stop : Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Second Stop : Portland Oregon

Third Stop : Minneapolis, Mn

Mercedes repaired!!

OK... got back the car yesterday.

After some 3 weeks driving the Hilux, and seated in a rather high position, bumping along every not so flat road, it is quite a relief to be driving in a normal position again.

Hopefully will not have to do any more repairs for a long time to come...

Total damage? RM6565

Expected RM damages....

Left the Mercedes at a workshop to check what is wrong..

Apparently, the air spring and bellows are gone. Also need replacing is a Valve Block.

Components will take at least 1 week to arrive from Singapore, and expected total bill at the end of the repair : RM6600.

Hopefully this will be one of the last repairs needed...

Speedtest

This will show a 'live' test of how fast your internet connection is for uploading and/or down loading.

Looks like Malaysia is stuck somewhere in the middle.

Speedtest done at work showed an down load speed of less than 2Mb/s, where as in Korea, the average is some 23Mb/s; that is to say down loading something over the internet in Malaysia is some 12 times slower than in Korea.

Imagine, even the Philippines is better than us.

And we are trying to sell our MSC??

Merc is in the workshop

The Mercedes is now at a workshop somewhere at Bukit Lanjan.

The repair bill will depend on what needs to be changed:

- a pair of absorbers : RM2170
- air spring and bellows : RM5752
- air compressor : RM1880

Excluding workmanship/labour.

So, i think it will be a hefty bill.
